This week I started creating the showreel animation. I first picked out the type of music I would like to include. I wanted the tone to be earthy as it is the blooming process but also upbeat. I also watched some YouTube videos of ways I could use some of the transitions as for inspirations.
When I do the video, I want to start with the bud as it is the first step of the blooming process. So, I want to figure out a way to highlight it. That these works are done under the bud and then moving on to the next stage. So on and on. So I think I will pop the symbol before I start each transitional period to show that it is the next step in my blooming process.

Below are so of the animation references I used to create the showreel. The type of animation was something new I learned. It gave the overall animation an interesting pop. Before I started animating, I created the things on Ai to make the transition easier. This way I can import it directly into aftereffects and animate the content. This made the animating process very easy.

Here’s the progress of how I arranged my files. Furthermore, snapshots of my work in progress of my showreel. I mixed up the audio to create a customised sound from the free music that I found.

Here’s the final outcome of the showreel. It was an interesting to see all the scenes come together. I rather enjoyed the whole process. Especially the blooming process come to life.
